I wouldn't lose a lot of sleep over it, Matt. I use Bloglines to pick up your RSS feed, so I don't go to your site to read your posts. Only when I comment on a post do I come to the site itself, and those are the only times my reading of your work would be counted by Sitemeter.
I once had over 100 visits a day and rising before I burned out on writing and took a break. Those numbers plummeted as a result. When you realize that blog readers can at times be like those who flit from place to place looking to have their ears tickled, it puts matters back in perspective. You ask yourself why you blog, and then you realize that you started doing it for yourself because you wanted to try your hand at writing and putting yourself out there in the world. If that's still a good enough reason to do it, you continue. If not, you don't.
Rev. Mike: Thanks for stopping by and for your comment. I'm not discouraged - my numbers have been pitiful since I started this blog nearly a year ago, and I'm still keeping at it.
I like to write and point out things that interest me - it's a way to keep in touch with family too, since i have several relations that visit here. Although they could leave more comments than they do, I think....
