May I put in a plug for the blog "Chesterly's Child" written by the mother of an autistic child? (OK, so I just did.) It takes a special kind of grace, not to mention courage, to do what these parents do, and I am in awe of them. In the Brittney Spears/ Anna Nichole Smith world, the "Tommy's Mommy"s of this world are my heroes.
Lemming, you can put in plugs anytime. Quite frankly, I'm in awe of any parent who is successfully rearing (meaning: the parents aren't giving up on them) what the world sees as "difficult children."
