"...a commitment to agnosticism—as opposed to agnosticism still open to the alternative— is a form of atheism."

Maclin Horton thinks agnosticism is not a solution.

  1. Agnostic means "without knowledge." As far as whether I'm living my life as an atheist, perhaps I am. But, like in any other area where I lack knowledge, I simply do the best I can with the facts at hand; doing unto others as I would have them do unto me for starters -- regardless of whether a Supreme Being commands it. If an omniscient being exists, I'm pretty sure it can get along with me acting on that basis.

I have a hard time believing there is an omniscient, omnipotent being who will send me to eternal damnation for failing to guess right when the being was able to provide conclusive evidence of its existence but chose not to.
