Pat better have the maniacal laugh down pat

It's not just the Republican senators who want to be in movies. Democratic senators do, too. Or, at least, one does - Senator Patrick Leahy of Vermont. He's going to be in the next Batman film, The Dark Knight. He's done some voiceovers on Batman cartoons.
The longtime Batman fan would reveal little about his role other than he is called the "distinguished gentleman."

"It's a pretty tense scene," said Leahy, chairman of the Senate Judiciary Committee. "It's going to be a very interesting one."

  1. Hi, Matt.

First, I wouldn't give any credence to the National Enquirer. Unless you believe in alien abductions and a secret world order run by Linsday Lohen.

Second, even if S&R are gay, what is the relevance here, other than idle speculation. Now, here's what I'd like to know when I read such items. Does knowing that an entertainer is gay diminish his or her status? Does it affect the performance? Does it shed light on his or her career?

I have to admit that I've engaged in such speculation, but after doing so, I always ask myself, "So what?"

I enjoy reading your blog, Matt.
